Blood on the snow

How something as simple as a few drops of blood on the snow could imply something so momentous.

The Daily Wanderluster

The downfall was slick,

pathetic and slow.

No glory to accompany the blood on the snow.

The tide rushed thick,

bathed in the glow,

of a moon that lit up the blood on the snow.

Redemption a trick,

Victory a joke.

A mere ploy to spill the blood on the snow.

Life is a bitch,

Death’s the real show.

For He is the reason for blood on the snow.
